SRUM – System Resource Usage Monitor dump

SRUM stands for System Resource Usage monitor.

It is built into Windows 8 and 10. It is turned on by default

SRUM stores 30 days of history for system activity.

  • Programs executed
  • Wifi connections
  • Network use statistics
  • energy usage

SRUM dump is a tool to extract Windows system usage information from the SRUDB.dat file


Usage

SRUM stores data in C:\Windows\System32\SRU\SRUDB.dat

It updates every hour and at shutdown

in the tool, add

  • Required path to the SRUDB.DAT file
  • the output file path of the excel spreadsheet
  • the path to the template spreadsheet

This will then output your excel file for analysis
